This year we offer a Confederate History and Heritage Month informational brochure and an 11 by 17 inch sign for you to download.
It would be great to see signs go up in libraries and brochures given out to the public, especially our young folks, all throughout the USA.
Please share with everyone you know who loves the proud history of the Sunny-Southland “Dixie” that is our God given heritage of our Confederate Grandfathers and Mothers….And especially share with our children and young adults who are our future and hope of keeping alive the memory of the Men and Women of the Old Southern Confederacy.
Committee member John Black is now taking orders for large and small orders of Confederate History Month stickers and you can call him for a price at: 1-800-942-2447 or

2011 marks the beginning of the Sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) of the War Between the States. See the website for the Sesquicentennial committee for the Georgia Division Sons of Confederate Veterans at: http://www.150wbts.org/ and the National Sons of Confederate Veterans Committee at: http://confederate150.com/

In 2009, the Georgia General Assembly approved Senate Bill No. 27, and was signed by Past Governor Sonny Perdue, officially designating April permanently as Confederate History and Heritage Month. See proclamation at:

Now, who will follow Georgia’s lead?
Save these websites: http://confederatehistorymonth.com and http://confederateheritagemonth.com on your computer. It’s full speed ahead for Confederate History Month 2011. Let’s pray for God’s guidance and let’s join together during the month of April 2011 to educate millions about the truth of the Confederate men and women of the Old South who stood for States Rights and real freedom and whom left us our wonderful Southern Heritage. They stood tall just like their Fathers did during the Revolutionary War. Some correctly call the War Between the States “America’s 2nd War of Independence.”
It is a great pleasure to serve National SCV Commander Michael Givens and Georgia Division SCV Commander Jack Bridwell as Chairman of the 2011, Confederate History and Heritage Month committee for the Sons of Confederate Veterans.. I have asked the following to again serve on this our very important committee: Georgia SCV Commander Jack Bridwell and National SCV Commander Michael Givens as advisors, Co-Chairman Mike Crane, Billy Bearden, Jeff Davis, John Black, James King and Fred Wilhite. Your committee needs your help and we want to hear from you. Please help us remember! We cannot do it without you. Will you all serve the Confederate History and Heritage Committee as “Honorary Ambassador of good will” to promote Confederate History Month throughout the USA and around the world? Please spread the good news at SCV, UDC, American Legion, VFW, DAR, SAR and other Civic, Historical and all Patriotic groups meetings. You may make copies of this letter to distribute.
To you the members of the: United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Order of Confederate Rose and Daughters of the American Colonies, please help us get the good word out.
See a sample proclamation that you can use with minor word changes to send to your mayor, commissioner or governor at: http://confederateheritagemonth.com/heritage/sample.php
Let’s make our goal in 2011 for 1,000 proclamations from city, county and governors nationwide!
Let’s us all work to make April---Confederate History and Heritage Month a month to remember! With the favor and guidance of Almighty God, April will be a Dixie month to remember. Lest We Forget!
